Mercedes MRD1 / MRG1 Unlock Service
Your 2020+ Mercedes is locked down from the factory. This mail-in service gives you full read/write access to Bosch MD1CP001 (MRD1) and MG1CP002 (MRG1) ECU platforms—real calibration software, no piggyback modules or tuning boxes.

Ready for Tuning
Your ECU ships back unlocked and ready for calibration.
Flashing Your ECU
Once unlocked, flash via OBD2 port or bench connection over CAN-BUS. You'll need a J2534-compatible tool like the Tactrix Openport 2.0 or Scanmatik.
Off-Road Use Only
This service is intended exclusively for motorsport, research, dyno testing, and development on private property. You are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

- No guarantees are made regarding use on public roads. Wunder Tuning assumes no responsibility for legal consequences.
ECU Requirements
We can only process units that meet the following criteria:
If we detect any signs of tampering or previous opening, the unlock will not be performed and no refund will be issued.
What If My ECU Can't Be Unlocked?
In rare cases, certain software versions cannot be unlocked—this can only be determined once we have the unit in hand. If this happens, you'll receive a full refund for the service. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
